Executive Team

Worknet’s Executive Management brings a wealth of experience in the technology industry, data center infrastructure, and end-user support and a complementary set of technical and managerial skills.

 

William A. Castellano (Chairman)
Bill began his career in systems engineering and sales at IBM. He left IBM to form NFC, a computer leasing company that was sold to Chrysler in 1987 after ten years of double-digit growth. He continued to serve as the CEO for four years before leaving to pursue other entrepreneurial ventures. In addition to his Chairman position at Worknet, Bill also serves as a Director and original shareholder of The PrivateBank, an advisor to Mesirow Capital Partners, and as a Trustee of Elmhurst College. Bill is also an active volunteer and member of the Board of Regents for the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. He holds an Economics degree from Elmhurst College.
 
John E. Vaughan (President and Chief Executive Officer)
John has served in the information technology and telecommunications industry for over twenty years as an executive, general manager, and consultant for Fortune 500 companies and technology start-ups. He began his career as a senior associate with Accenture and Booz, Allen, and Hamilton. Following that, he held multiple executive positions with Ameritech Information Industry Services, including President, and then he became President of Tellabs Global Sales and Services and Tellabs International. Prior to joining Worknet, he was President and CEO of Syndeo, Inc. and Cinta Networks in Silicon Valley. John holds a BS in Industrial Management from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
 
Brian P. Melloy (Chief Operating Officer)
Brian began his career at Prime Computer, a Fortune 500 mini-computer manufacturer based in Boston. After rising to the position of Branch Manager of Sales Support, he moved to Chrysler Systems, where he was promoted to Director of Technical Support. After Chrysler Systems was sold to IBM, Brian brought his experience with technology integration and sales automation to the founding team of Worknet. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
 
Janis L. Kratochvil (Chief Financial Officer)
After working in the auditing and tax departments at Deloitte and Touche, Jan joined Chrysler Systems Leasing (CSL) to manage the corporate tax function. When CSL was sold to IBM, she became Division Controller of the new merged entity. Jan next managed the corporate accounting department at the IBM/Sears joint venture, Advantis, before joining Worknet. Jan holds a BS in Accounting from Illinois State University, a Masters of Taxation from DePaul University, and she is a CPA.
 
Dana Bailey (Vice President of Business Development)
Dana’s career began with Rockwell International where he held a number of positions including product line marketing, sales, operations, and general management. More recently, he was Vice President for InterVoice as well as co-founding and managing partner of eVentive, a CRM consulting company. Just before joining Worknet, he was a Vice President with Emerson Energy Systems, N.A., a division of Emerson Electric. Dana has a BA in communications from the University of Iowa.
